About the speaker:
Meera is a qualified European and Swiss Patent Attorney based in Zurich. She works independently in assisting her clients on a broad range of Intellectual Property matters including innovation evaluation, obtaining patent protection for inventions and strategizing on the commercial exploitation of their ideas. She specializes in the fields of Nanotechnology and Software. She started her career in Patents in a private practice in London and later moved to work in-house in IBM’s Zurich Research Laboratory. Meera has a PhD in Physical Chemistry and MPhil in Semiconductor Physics and Microelectronic Engineering, both from the University of Cambridge, and a first-class degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from King’s College London. She also holds a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Blockchain from the University of Zurich. Meera is originally from Kenya.
About the host:
Ms. Odongo is a Group Company Secretary. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya holding a Bachelor of Laws (“LLB”) Degree from the University of Liverpool and a Master of Business Administration (“MBA”) from Salford University in the United Kingdom. Professionally Ms. Odongo is a Certified Public Secretaries [“CPS (K)”]. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law and has 13 years of experience in various capacities and industries ranging from Audit, Banking and Finance, Insurance and Legal. She is also a member of the Institute of Directors – Kenya.
She served as Legal Director for Blockchain Association of Kenya and is the legal advisor for Azuri Blockchain Consultants Ltd.
